Je ringmaat meten hoeft helemaal niet moeilijk te zijn. Met een strookje papier, een stift en een meetlint bepaal je eenvoudig thuis jouw maat. Wikkel het papiertje rond je vinger — niet té los, zodat je ring later mooi en comfortabel blijft zitten. Markeer vervolgens waar het papiertje overlapt, leg het plat en meet de afstand tot aan de markering. Het aantal millimeters dat je afleest, komt overeen met jouw ringmaat. Meet je bijvoorbeeld 55 mm? Dan heb je maat 55. Zit je tussen twee maten in, zoals 53,2 mm? Dan kan je afronden naar een halve maat. Hou hierbij rekening met hoe je jouw ringen graag draagt: iets losser of liever wat strakker.

Below, we answer the two most frequently asked questions about ring sizes and provide practical tips.

How do I measure my ring size at home?

It's easy to determine your ring size yourself. These are the steps:

  • Use a measuring string or our ring sizer. Wrap a thin string or measuring tape around the finger on which you want to wear the ring and measure the circumference in millimeters. Our ring sizer is a handy tool that you can order from us; if you purchase a ring within three days, you will receive the purchase price of the ring sizer back.

  • Measure at the right time. Fingers are often slightly thicker in the evening than in the morning. Therefore, measure at different times and take temperature into account – fingers swell in heat and shrink in cold.

  • Compare with a well-fitting ring. Do you already have a ring that fits well? Then measure the inner diameter with a ruler and use a ring size chart to find your size. This method is also useful if you want to find out your partner's ring size; secretly measure a ring she regularly wears.

  • Are you in doubt between two sizes? Then choose the larger size. A ring should slide smoothly over your knuckle but not be loose; it is therefore better to take a slightly larger size.
